Parallax
This episode is on the Maquis and Starfleet crews learning to work together. B'Elanna attempts to end an engineering dispute with Starfleet officer Carey by punching him in the face. She is reprimanded, but do to her talent as an engineer and Chakotay's faith in her, she is given the position of chief engineer.
Prime Factors
Voyager stops at the planet Sikaris, known for its hospitality. The Sikarians invite the crew to not only take shore leave there, but to stay permanently. This invitation, they obviously do not accept. Harry Kim is shown the Sikarian's space-folding technology, a Spatial Trajector and the crew of Voyager looks into using this technology to send themselves home instantaneously. Unfortunately, the Sikarians have their own form of the Prime Directive that doesn't allow them to share their technology with others, Voyager included. One Sikarian, Jaret Otel, disagrees with this and seeks to trade the technology for stories from Voyager's database, which his people value highly. Although Janeway won't accept this trade on moral grounds, B'Elanna, Seska, Carey and Tuvok conspire to make the trade, thinking to save Janeway's integrity while still allowing the crew to go home. The get the Spatial Trajector, but it turns out to be intrinsically incompatible with Federation technology and fails completely.
Faces
An away team consisting of B'Elanna, Paris and Lt. Durst is captured by some Vidiians. Paris and Durst are put in their prison to work in the Vidiian mine, and eventually have their organs harvested. A Vidiian scientist genetically separates B'Elanna into a complete Klingon, and a complete human. Human B'Elanna is thrown in prison with Paris and Durst, and Klingon B'Elanna is infected with the Phage, in hopes that her strong, Klingon genes can help the Vidiians overcome the disease. She eventually breaks out of her bonds, attacks the Vidiian scientist and escapes. Meanwhile, Durst is killed for his organs, while Paris works in the mine and Human B'Elanna mostly cowers and cries. She is sent back to the prison where Klingon B'Elanna finds her. They must overcome their difference and work together to escape, as much as they despise each other. With the help of Chakotay disguised as a Vidiian, Paris and both B'Elannas manage to escape, but not before Klingon B'Elanna is shot fatally. Back on Voyager, the doctor is able to use the Klingon DNA to restore B'Elanna to her full, half Klingon self.
Prototype
B'Elanna's maternal instincts kick in when a nonfunctional robot is found floating in space. She works very hard to get it to function, and when she does the robot, 3947, is very grateful. He desires her to help him build a prototype robot for his people- although they can fix themselves generally, they cannot reproduce. B'Elanna wants to help him, but the captain decides that it would be against the Prime Directive and forbids it. When 3947's ship appears and it prepares to transport back, he kidnaps B'Elanna. The crew is unable to penetrate the robot ship's shields, and it hopelessly outmatched in the fighting that ensues. When B'Elanna sees the damage that Voyager is taking, and that they will be destroyed very soon, she agrees to build the prototype for them in return for Voyager's safety. She eventually suceeds, but almost as soon as she does 3947 finishes telling her about "The Builders"- the humanoid race that created his people. The robots had killed their Builders to protect themselves, in accordance with their programming. B'Elanna realizes allowing the remorseless robots to reproduce would have devastating consequences, and she destroys the prototype, with 3947's hopes of procreation. He injures her as she is finally beamed back to the ship.
Remember
As Voyager ferries the telepathic Delta Quadrent race called the Enarans back to their homeworld, B'Elanna begins to have strange and intense dreams. At first, they are sensual- about sneaking a boy into her room at night. They become more disturbing with time as the story of the Enaran girl who's life B'Elanna is seeing progresses. Her lover is a member of a group of Enarans called Regressives who reject modern technology. Their love is forbidden by the girl's father, a military leader. She finds out that the government is forcbly resettling the Regressives and goes to help her father and see this take place. A Regressive fleeing the soldiers scars her. Her lover urges her to run away with him before he is taken. He tells her that his people are not being resettled, but executed. As he is hiding in her room, her father comes in and convinces her that her lover is lying, and trying to use her. She betrays him to her father and cheers with the croud at his public execution. During this time, B'Elanna is functioning less effectively on Voyager as the telepathicely implanted memories make her pass out unexpectedly. Before the final dream, B'Elanna goes to the quarters of an Enaran woman with a scar matching the one she got in her dream. The woman was dying, and wished to pass on her memories since her people would never accept them. During the farewell ceremony for the Enarans, B'Elanna confronts them about their genocide, but the truth of this is denied. She evenutally gets another Enaran woman to telepathicely get the memories from her, to eventually pass them on if she decides to.
